OUR HISTORY
A family-run business since 1985
Founded in 1985, Process Control has been able to understand the needs of the market and continuously expand its offering to include software, hardware, security and cloud services, until becoming a leading provider of business solutions in Spain and abroad.
1985
Process Control was founded by Conrado Rabanal and Jaime Torrelles, who recognised the business potential of the burgeoning IT sector. Initially, the company focused primarily on selling hardware, such as computers and printers, and in providing added value to its customers with a maintenance service. However, they were soon joined by other professionals with experience in various sectors, such as commerce, who brought new business ideas and insights.
1990-1995
In the 1990s, Process Control expanded its product portfolio to include consumables, fax machines and dot matrix printers to cater to the need of companies to personalise their documents. At the time, documents were being produced on paper instead of using a computer template. Over time, the offering increased and the company sought to expand and diversify its portfolio, which led it to explore new business opportunities.
1995-2000
The second generation of founders took up the challenge of venturing into the world of business solutions and their maintenance. For years, the company experimented with different solutions until settling on Sage, the leading software at the time. This decision marked a turning point in the history of Process Control and strengthened its position in the business solutions sector.
2000-2010
In 2000, Process Control’s technical team spotted the emerging potential of cloud solutions, prompting the company to create its own platform to offer its customers end-to-end services that included hardware, business solutions and security systems, among others. At the time, business solutions (enterprise software) were vital for the company and a joint initiative was launched to promote and roll out Sage 100, which proved to be a huge success for various customers and sectors.
2010
In 2010, Sage 100 was replaced with an upgraded and improved version, Sage Murano. This was a critical moment for Process Control, as adaptation to the change required comprehensive training of all staff, which allowed us to develop and improve both individually and as a team, strengthening the company’s capacity to meet the challenges and consolidate its position in the market.
2017
During this stage, our systems offering, a key pillar of the company's growth, was consolidated. Implementing virtual private networks for large companies with a presence throughout the country allowed us to expand our team with highly skilled professionals, optimize the infrastructure of our cloud solution, launched in 2000, and strengthen security to anticipate new challenges.
2019
Process Control sought to expand its portfolio of solutions to continue to meet its customers’ needs. While searching for a complementary software to Sage, we discovered Odoo: an emerging open-source ERP with great potential. In 2019, the company decided to embrace this solution and began to roll it out to its customers. Since then, Odoo has proven to be a key solution for businesses and has established itself as our core business activity.
2020
We won the prestigious Best Starter Europe Odoo 2020 award, which honours the most outstanding companies in the implementation and use of the Odoo enterprise software in Europe. The award is recognition of Process Control’s commitment and dedication to offering high quality and innovative solutions to customers using the Odoo platform as a base.
Today
The growth of the business in recent years is reflected in the significant increase in our workforce, which has gone from 40 to more than 85 employees. This achievement is largely due to our core values, such as transparency and integrity in all our dealings with customers. Process Control is committed to building solid partnerships with its customers, offering a service tailored to their needs and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.
